My host says upgrade or leave. Can you take my site?
Almost certainly, yes. This is the exact situation we built the service for. Send us the date your host has given you and we’ll look at the site before promising anything. If we can beat the deadline we’ll say so, and if it’s going to be tight you’ll hear that too, rather than finding out later. Moving is free either way.
Is it safe to keep running PHP 5 or PHP 7?
Honestly, not on ordinary shared hosting. Old PHP versions no longer get official security fixes, and that risk is real. What we do is contain it. Your site runs in its own isolated pool, patched at the server level, with a firewall in front of it. That’s a sensible stopgap while you plan the site’s future, not a permanent excuse.
How much does legacy PHP hosting cost?
Each legacy site is quoted individually, because a small brochure site and a creaking bespoke system need different amounts of looking after.
