👋 Hey there!

dedicated servers.

Some workloads outgrow shared hosting. Some businesses just want a machine with nobody else on it. Either way, the answer is a fully managed UK dedicated server, built for the job and sat in a UK data centre. We’ve been looking after our own machines for over 20 years, and yours gets the same attention.

Your machine, our problem. Monitoring, patching and backups are included in what you pay.

Managed UK Dedicated Servers

A dedicated server means the whole machine is yours. Nothing else is running on it, so when it does slow down there’s only one thing to go and look at, and we’re already looking. We build each one in a UK data centre to fit the workload it will carry, then we run it for you.

Managed is the important word. Monitoring, operating system patching, security updates and daily off-site backups are all included, and when something needs looking at we’re the ones looking at it. You can have root access and Plesk if you want them. Most customers never log in at all.

The obvious candidates are agencies with a book of client sites to look after, along with anything that runs flat out for hours at a time, which is where most AI workloads end up. We don’t publish a price list, because a sensible quote needs ten minutes of questions about what the machine will do. For everything smaller, our managed hosting starts at £1 a day + VAT.

Who Needs a Whole Machine

Most of the machines we build go to three sorts of customer.

We’d rather spec a server around your workload than squeeze your workload into a package.

Most of our blogs will be about hosting but Olly likes to sneak the occasional one in there about something else. Hopefully they’re relevant. Sorry in advance.

Dedicated Server FAQs

Before anyone commits to a machine of their own, they usually want these answered first.

The dijitul team

What does fully managed actually mean?

It means the server is our responsibility, not yours. We watch it, patch the operating system, keep daily off-site backups running and sort problems as they appear. If a disk fails or the hardware needs attention, that’s our conversation with the data centre rather than a job for you. Nothing on the machine needs you to log in.

How much does a managed dedicated server cost?

Each machine is specced to its workload, so we price on a quick call rather than publishing a menu that wouldn’t match what you need. Processor, memory, storage and whether GPU hardware is involved all change the number. A dedicated machine costs a good deal more than single-site hosting, which is worth knowing before you pick up the phone.

Do I actually need a dedicated server?

Honestly, many businesses don’t. A single site on our managed hosting at £1 a day + VAT covers most needs. You want a dedicated machine when you run many sites, a busy shop, or a workload that eats resources, or when your data must sit on hardware nobody else touches.

Can you migrate everything from our current server?

Yes. The old server stays switched on and untouched while we do it, so there’s always something to go back to. Everything gets copied onto the new machine and checked before any domain moves, and if the new one misbehaves we point you straight back. We have moved entire servers this way, consolidated several down into one, and split one out into several.
